尚展設計 ＠ 吳啟民

尚展設計除了是國內知名的室內設計公司，尚展也有豐富的海外設計經驗，也受到國際業主及媒體的注目。除了馬來西亞的「漂亮家居」雜誌，曾報導尚展設計的設計案外，前一陣子新加坡SQUARErooms 雜誌也與尚展設計聯繫，希望能報導尚展的作品。

由於SQUARErooms 對簡約風格的設計特別感興趣，因此尚展推薦了水蓮山莊李公館的個案給 SQUARErooms，以下是該雜誌 2008 September - October 號刊出尚展設計的報導。






Modern oasis
With a little design ingenuity this originally bare two-storey apartment in Taiwan was transformed into a chic resort-style pad.

Key Idea
Natural materials like marble, teak and maple wood are used throughout the home to offer an organic approach within this spa-inspired abode.
Dark wood is balanced out with light-coloured floor tiles and furniture so the home doesn’t appear gloomy.
Taking inspiration from natural hot springs, the bathroom on the first floor is given a regal spa atmosphere with pebble wash, a large granite tub and matching flooring.
The kitchen was compressed into one elongated counter since the homeowner doesn’t require a large space.





Taiwan is well known for its invigorating geothermal hot springs with are believed to soothe, revitalise and reinvigorate the body. Taking inspiration from these very popular natural spas, this home embodies natural materials and elements weaved into its overall modern design language.
When Alan Wu of Simple Interior Design was engaged to work his magic into this home, the house was completely empty. In order to keep the place crisp and modern, Alan chose to use large glossy white tiles within the first floor. This extends from the entrance to the dining and living areas, giving the home a smooth, constant flow. Wood beams in black dyed walnut wood act as a screen for a little more privacy at the entrance of the home.

Open concept
The dining area has a custom-made dining table and four chairs affording a cosy spot for meals. Clustered pendant lights hang from the ceiling adding a more dramatic touch to the simplistic area.
Just beyond this, a large structured shelf in walnut wood acts as a divider between the living and dining areas. This is also where the owner keeps his favourite collectibles which are displayed prominently and can be viewed from both the living and dining rooms.
Within the living room, Alan chose to create a large feature wall in dark marble because the owner professed his love for the natural stone. Housing the TV and entertainment peripherals within this large stately feature wall, Alan was able to conceal any unsightly wires that would otherwise clutter the majestic home. Facing the marble feature wall, a white Fendi sofa provides ample seating for large gathering and is complemented by the Arco lamp that is suspended from above.







Be my guest
To demarcate the public and private area, one bedroom on the first level is now, the guest bedroom and also functions as a study area. Sliding wood panels glide into place when the room is used by guests, offering a private sanctuary to rest in. when it is not being used however, the room hosts the owner’s reading materials and some collectibles.

Seeing refuge
Yet the most notable aspect of the first floor has got to be the stunning bathroom that is located next to the versatile guest bedroom. A sleek granite sink is set above a walnut wood console and resides just outside the main bathroom. This allows for easier access to the vanity counter without the need to go inside the main bathroom. It is interesting to note how the clever use of dark and light surfaces gives this home an alluring appeal.
Dressing in a pebble wash wall, the main bathroom was engineered to mimic the natural hot springs that are widely visited in Taiwan. Boasting a handmade granite bath tub with sleek design lines, the bathroom is complemented by large pebble on the flooe and a large ladder, perfect for hanging bath robes and towels. Since the bathroom has a large window overlooking greenery, Alan finished it off with blinds to allow light to stream in when necessary and provide privacy when required. This is the perfect spot for the owner to soak in the tub and enjoy the serene view beyond.

Level two
Rather than continue the tiled effect from downstairs, the bedroom the second level gets a warmer appeal with teakwood gracing the confines. Accessible from the steel and iron staircase near the dining area, this hardwearing option gives the home a more masculine, raw appeal.
Once inside the bedroom, the most evident feature is the hidden storage that keeps the room neat and fuse-free. Situated behind the bed, bi-fold doors slide in and out to reveal much storage. This is an ingenious move as the area behind the bed often goes to waste. The other ingenious design factor exists as a large glass wall that borders off the bedroom from the rest of the home. The entire home can be viewed from the bedroom, so to provide more privacy, curtains were applied along the length of this glass wall.
Fashioned in a cool concoction of dark versus light, this home has an excellent play on clean lines and combines some excellent design ideas. From the application of natural materials like marble and wood to the squeaky is a relaxed yet polished feel that screams modern luxury.

尚展設計吳啟民參加 2008中華民國設計協會主辦，La Vie 與台灣創意中心協辦的台灣室內設計比賽，榮獲「TID Award」住宅類台灣室內設計大獎，並為「漂亮家居」讀者票選最愛設計師之一。

「2008 TID Award」競爭激烈，除台灣前10大設計師，也有來自香港、上海頂尖的設計師參與競賽，吳啟民能在眾多設計高手中脫潁而出，除了具備設計的原創性及實力外，更要感謝各位對自宅的鑑賞力及尚展設計的支持。

尚展設計吳啟民，最近頻頻出現在報紙、雜誌、電視等媒體版面上，從專精的室內空間設計作品、軍品收藏到30年代牛仔服飾的鑑賞，都是受訪的主題。最近連生活精品業者也找上吳啟民，邀請他為產品代言。

居家生活也可以是一種藝術！生活美學當然是吳啟民的擅長。

從事室內設計多年，對設計的態度由繁而簡；對所謂風格及傢俱的搭配，也變的不講求特定的形式，也不追求太過主觀的設計風格，有時會對單一的傢俱放在對的空間而感動，有時也會對於局部空間的處理得宜，而感到雀悅不已。

這有點像是從見山是山，走過見山不是山的境界後的豁然開朗。

牆面的素材可以有哪些選擇？
一般住宅牆面，最常見的是油漆、壁紙、大理石或是木作，這些建材裝飾的牆面，有時過於簡單，有時又過於繁瑣，在傢俱搭配時，較難襯托出空間的層次感，給人特別的印象。

「不強調傢俱，或突出的設計，專注於多點人文，多點自然的空間環境！」這個我始終堅持、追求的設計理念，在這個最新完成的個案得到實踐。

這個空間的處理，有了新的突破，這就是我一直強調，如何將房子原始的空間結構特色表現出來，並且將設計巧妙融合其中，不做過多的裝飾，就能達成和諧與理性的空間，相對又能融入很多生活的細節。

2008年對尚展設計來說，是關鍵而豐收的一年，今年尚展承接了許多個案，頗受業主及媒體好評，尤其美式風格的設計案有明顯的成長，也都得到很好的口碑。為了犒賞同仁傑出的表現及辛勞，特別在9月安排同仁到澳門旅遊，欣賞葡萄牙時期的澳門殖民地風情，在威尼斯人酒店住宿，好好放鬆休息，也順便觀摩威尼斯人義大利式的建築與設計風格。

這次的旅行，讓我印象最深的，不是威尼斯人的金碧輝煌，反倒是澳門老街上濃厚的殖民地風情。

擁有一件眾多收藏者拼命追逐的好貨色或許可以靠運氣，但能收藏成堆成山的夢幻逸品，就要拿真正的熱情、銀彈與絕不輸人的專業知識來與各地行家硬碰硬。
室內設計師吳啟民鑽研美式牛仔古著20年，專收最主流的世界三大強牌Levi’s、Lee及Wrangler，他選擇的收藏之路正是古著領域中的王道，超稀有的牛仔褲、牛仔夾克一字排開，猶如置身古著殿堂。

踏進室內設計界，幾近20年，從國中時移居加拿大，之後攻讀建築與都市計劃，從美國、泰國到台灣，設計了各類極簡、現代、古典風格的商業空間及住宅，等到要設計自己的住所時，不假思索的就選擇了美式風格，這該是對過往美好時光的緬懷，對成長的觀察，與源自生活歷練的累積吧。

「最好的設計，是最少的設計」對設計鑽研越深、生活歷練越豐富後，越能體會「大象無形」的深意。我早期的作品風格比較銳利，塑造的空間較為夢幻。現在了解，要展現眩目的設計技法不難，那只是基本功。「內斂雋永」將設計融入生活，營造更自然、更人性化的生活空間，才是應該著力提升的層次。
